The terrorists ask freedom for 35 prisoners

KANDAHAR – There may have been an opening in the negotiations to free the Airbus prisoners. In fact, some of the 160 passengers were allowed to get off the plane and stretch their legs on the airport runway accompanied by masked terrorists. And one of the Islamic extremists who hijacked the A300 Indian Airlines plane has come ashore, apparently to continue negotiations with the negotiators face-to-face. The man, in jeans and with his face completely covered, sat in a car standing under the nose of the aircraft; no one knows who else was inside, but the car belongs to Wakil Ahmed Muttawakil, Foreign Minister of the Taliban regime, the former students of the Quranic theology in power in Afghanistan. Then he went back to the plane.

The terrorists would be six and not five according to the newspaper “Times of India” which also publishes the names: S. Qazi, Ahmed Sheik, Ibrahim Mistri and Sayed Akhtar Saqid all of Pakistani nationality and Gopal Tamrakar, Nepalese. The indentity of the sixth, an Afghan citizen, must still be ascertained.
In the morning talks between the Indian mediators and the terrorists took place via radio with the control tower, then even via walkie talkies after the Airbus engines went out, due to a breakdown. The terrorists are asking for 200 million dollars, the release of Maulana Masood Azhar, a Muslim leader imprisoned in Indian prisons since 1994, and several people detained in India, the UN coordinator for the Afghanist Erick de Mul said today. he left the negotiations and returned to Pakistan. The Indians have decided to continue the negotiations without further mediation by third parties.
