Al Qaeda threats to the US “You will experience an unsustainable hell”

DUBAI – A group that claims to be part of Al Qaeda has threatened the American people with reprisals for having re-elected George W. Bush. In a statement published today on a website, the group promises to make America experience an “unsustainable hell”.

“In the coming days we will show you that the one you elected will lead you into an unsustainable hell,” reads the online message, which is signed by the Abu Hafs Al Masri brigades, the European section of Osama Bin Laden’s organization.

For now, it was not possible to verify the authenticity of the message. The Abu Hafs Al Masri brigades, which claimed responsibility for the March 11 attacks in Madrid, derive their name from the head of military operations of Al Qaeda, killed during the US Army offensive in Afghanistan in October 2001.

“The criminal Bush has shed the blood of Muslims during the last four years and despite the massacres he has carried out and continues to perpetrate in Afghanistan, Palestine and Iraq, we see that his popularity and the consent of his people are on the rise”, the message says.

“This reveals the nature of the American people, which approves the war against Islam pursued in a criminal way by the United States”, the message concludes.
