Katrina, the fury goes out Damages for 30 billion dollars

The cyclone has lost power: downgraded to category 1. Damages remain high throughout the region, so far estimated at around 30 billion dollars. At Super Dome, the New Orleans stadium where thousands of people have taken refuge, there was no light and the cyclone’s fury damaged the roof but there is no danger for the displaced. Bush decreed Louisiana and Mississippi disaster areas. Thousands of citizens still in the dark.
