Washington, two spongers at the White House dinner
WASHINGTON – Without invitation and without being stopped by the security agents, a couple of spongers managed to enter the White House gardens at the State dinner with over 300 guests on Tuesday evening offered by Barack and Michelle Obama for the Indian premier Mammohan Singh.
This was reported by the American newspaper “The Washington Post”, showing photos of Tareq and Michaele Salahi, both familiar faces in Washington, but whose names did not appear on the guest list. The photos, the newspaper reports, have been ‘posted’ on the internet by the couple. The secret services have however assured that at no time did the US president or his guests run any danger because anyone entering the White House must pass metal detector checks.
