Ready 2 Drive: Sara launches
safe driving on facebook

The online competition dedicated to road safety is underway

It’s called “Ready 2 Drive” and is the online competition launched on Facebook by Sara Assicurazioni within the Sara Racing Weekend, the road safety project carried out in collaboration with Aci Sport.

Just sign up for the Facebook page “Safe Driving Sara Racing Weekend”, or log in directly from www. Sara. it to participate and compete on the subject of safe driving while having fun and challenging your friends.

Through a virtual driving test on a city and motorway route, the player will be able to experience the correct application of the road code as well as the management of the vehicle in the event of unforeseen circumstances. At the same time, the user will have to answer some questions about the safe driving he will encounter on the course and that will be able to increase his score.

For the winners, over 100 safe driving courses will be offered at the Aci Sara Center in Vallelunga (RM). In addition, the first three cities that will score the most points, adding up the total number of individual players, will have the opportunity to host the 2011 Sara Racing Weekend meetings. The complete rules are published on the www.ready2drive.it website.

The presence on Facebook and the Ready 2 Drive online game are the novelties of this year, which enrich the Sara Racing Weekend project, now in its 4th edition. This interesting social initiative by Sara, the official ICA insurer, includes meetings

training courses in the higher education establishments of the main Italian cities, for a total of 26 appointments, during which the involved students will have the opportunity to confront themselves with professional pilots, such as Andrea Montermini, former Formula 1 driver and Dindo Capello, 3 times champion of the Le Mans circuit.

More than 20,000 children will be reached by Sara Assicurazioni with her project at the end of this edition. The objective is in fact to raise public awareness and the consciences of young people, establishing a dialogue to spread a “vital” message, forming and involving young people on a topic as important as road safety. Indeed, according to the latest ACI figures, the age group most affected by road accidents among drivers is between 25 and 29 years.
