Ferrari launches the 458
ready for the track

Ferrari protagonist at the Bologna Motor Show. Maranello’s “reds” play at home and after the F1 test dedicated to the top three finishers of the Italian Formula 3 Championship that has just taken place at the circuit of the Piero Taruffi circuit in Vallelunga, they are ready to ignite the fans of the show.
The house of the prancing horse, in addition to the institutional one with the current production, will have a stand entirely dedicated to its racing activities that will marry the rich program on the track.
A highlight of the Bologna event will be the world premiere of the 458 Challenge, a V8 berlinetta with a rear-central engine derived from the 458 Italia.

The car is the fifth model used by Ferrari as its leading single-make championship with the Italy, Europe, North America and, next year, Asia-Pacific series.
The stand will also show the F430 GTC of the AF Corse team, one of the cars with which the Maranello company won the Constructors’ title in the GT2 class of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup 2010.
Among the models dedicated to the track the cars cannot be missing FXX and 599XX laboratory, which give life to the homonymous research and development program thanks to the collaboration between technicians and test customers, while at the center of the exhibition will be a F60, the single-seater that competed in the F1 world championship of the 2009 season. .

Among the activities in the arena the most touching moment will surely be that of December 8 when with a spectacular performance at the wheel of the F60 single-seater, after 13 years of “honorable career” Luca Badoer will leave his job as Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro test driver. Then space for the races where they will battle in the traditional end-of-year challenge sixteen cars of the Italian and European series of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy.
