A North Korean freighter was blocked by the Panamanian navy while, coming from Cuba, it was about to cross the Panama Canal. Panamanian president Ricardo Martinelli said the ship was stopped because it was suspected that it was carrying drugs. But at the time of the search, hidden among 220 thousand quintals of sugar, the Panamanian military found containers with sophisticated missile components. The Panamanian authorities seized the ship and stopped the crew. Now the origin of the weapons and their final destination must be ascertained. But they could be missile systems destined for North Korea that is implementing a real arsenal, it is also suspected atomic, for the launch of long-range rockets.
