Egypt, the army denies the offer
of a compromise with the Muslim Brotherhood
CAIRO – The army and the government of Egypt have no intention of offering the Muslim Brotherhood the release of some of their members currently in prison, the unblocking of the group’s resources and three ministries in exchange for the cessation of the disorders and the protests followed by the deposition of President Mohamed Morsi.
It is a denial on the whole line of rumors circulating on the day that coming from the spokesman of the armed forces, Ahmed Ali. There is no “indication by the army in this sense”.
Previously some media had spoken of a “compromise” proposed by the Egyptian army and government.
