Nuclear power in Iran, Khamenei: “I am not optimistic about negotiations”. And attacks Israel: “Bastard regime”
TEHRAN – “I am not optimistic” about the nuclear negotiations but the negotiations will not produce any loss for Iran. The Iranian supreme leader, ajatollah Ali Khamenei, said this in a speech to the students of Tehran. This “experience will increase the nation’s potential,” Khamenei said in his website.
If the nuclear negotiations reach a conclusion, Khamenei said, “it will be good”. Otherwise, he added, Iran will be able to resist and “stand on its own feet”. The leader among other things urged not to weaken “whoever fulfills his task” as do Iranian nuclear negotiators.
He then attacked the US and Israel, saying that “all the US embassies of the closest countries” to the United States are “hideouts of spies” and that the one in Tel Aviv is an “illegitimate and bastard regime”.
On the eve of the 34th anniversary of the US embassy in Tehran, Khamenei added that the Islamic revolution was right to consider the US diplomatic head office a spy center.
