ACUTE “PHILADELPHIA” LEUKEMIA CANNABINOIDS AS THERAPY
CASE Reports in Oncology reports a study on the treatment of acute terminal lymphoblastic leukemia with a Philadelphia chromosome mutation, with a cannabis extract. This leukemia is treated with chemotherapy, with a remission, after five years, of 94% in children and 30-40% in adults. In the study we talk about a small patient, only 14 years old, treated, orally, with cannabinoid extracts. Cannabinoids are active ingredients of cannabis, including delta-9tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).
