WASHINGTON – A three-year-old boy accidentally shot and shot his mother after finding the gun under the living room sofa. The tragedy occurred in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The woman, 26, was alone at home with the child and another year-old daughter. She was changing the diaper to the baby when she was hit in the head by a bullet accidentally shot by the large-caliber weapon found by the child. There was nothing for her to do: she died in the hospital.

The alarm was given by the mother-in-law of the victim who, having returned home, found the injured daughter-in-law. The child was heard by some specialists to try to reconstruct the incident. While being taken into custody by the police, the child repeated “mum shot”. At the time of the tragedy his father was out of Oklahoma for work.

The police announced that other firearms had also been found in the house but they were adequately guarded.
