PARIS – “Hide yourself!” It is 11:56 pm on Friday 13 November 2015 when a Bataclan viewer understands what is happening. He has just seen the terrorists enter the hall while the Eagles of Death Metal concert is in progress . It is the first voice recorded in an audio file found by investigators and of which Le Parisien reveals part of the transcription. A long descent into hell, between the screams of the victims, laughter and delusions of jihadists. The recording partly takes up the story made by the survivors of the attack five months ago , but it is above all the first exact chronology of what happened on that night of barbarism.

“Get up or I’ll kill you!” It is only after shooting for seven minutes with automatic weapons on the spectators that the terrorists begin to speak. “Put yourself on the ground or shot,” says Samy Amimour, one of the suicide bombers, the only one to have identified the voice. “Bomb our brothers in Syria and Iraq – he continues -. Why are we here? We came from Syria to do the same thing.” The claim of the three terrorists, including Omar Mostefai and Foued Mohammed-Aggad, recorded through audio, is accurate and confirms many of the witness statements. “We are men, we bomb you on the ground. We do not need planes, we. Here, you have elected President Hollande. Thank him.” At minute twelve, one of the terrorists refers to the Caliphate: ” Do you know Daesh? Daesh is the Islamic State. We are everywhere, in France, in the United States. We will strike everywhere. “And again:” The hour of revenge has arrived “.

A minute later, the first policeman enters the concert hall on Boulevard Voltaire. “Go away, get the fucker off!” shouts Amimour. The agent does not back away, shoots towards the stage. The terrorist’s explosive belt explodes. It is at this point that Mostefai and Mohammed-Aggad decide to flee to the gallery, taking ten spectators hostage. It is through the cell phone of one of them that they come into contact with the police. Meanwhile, special forces have arrived in the audience, advancing in the column, proceeding slowly. “Hurry!” begs someone. Others, on the other hand, are frightened when they see the agents, afraid of dying in a new firefight.

The registration also confirms the uncertainty and the delay in the police intervention, which has long hesitated before giving the assault. The first wounded are evacuated after 10.30 pm while the police are treating (or pretending to negotiate) with the terrorists in the tunnel. At 11:37 pm a policeman talks to the head office: “We have to get them out, that’s enough!” At 00.20, after the go-ahead of the government, the assault of special forces begins in which even the last two terrorists will die. The audio file lasts 2 hours 38 minutes and 44 seconds: an eternity. In recent days, the Bataclan operators have confirmed that the room will re-open by the end of the year with a series of concerts between November and December, including those of Pete Doherty and Youssou N’Dour.
