Dead body at sea in Monopoli: perhaps it is that of the missing municipal employee
The body was placed on the bottom at a depth of three meters, five miles from the coast of Cala Corvino. It was a diver who noticed it and set off the alarm. The thought of the carabinieri inevitably went to Paolo Dragone, the municipal employee of Monopoli whose news has not been heard since last May 19th. The corpse has not been identified. He was completely naked and the stay in the water did not facilitate the recognition of the body.
The body found was brought to the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Bari, where we will proceed with the recognition and then with an autopsy: assessments that will allow us to give a face and a name to the body and to clarify the causes of death. Meanwhile, the carabinieri subjected to seizure the van rented at the airport by Enrico Galati, the former mate of Dragone who died suicide under a train on Sunday 22. The car, a Fiat Qubo, according to the rental contract would have had to be returned after a week spent in Italy. On the medium will be conducted scientific analyzes in search of organic Dragone traces.
The municipal employee and Galati, a pastry chef originally from Melissano but who had moved to Germany, had had a relationship that lasted two years, so much so that Galati had transferred the residence to Dragone’s home. The report, however, had been broken. Galati on Facebook
left a goodbye post decided to commit suicide by jumping under a train at Mola station. A tragedy that was immediately linked to the disappearance of Dragon.
The carabinieri of the Ris will arrive in the municipal employee’s house. The housekeeper of the municipal employee who lived with her mother (who died a week ago) on the landing of the house noticed some blood stains and found a shoe.
