Paul Manafort, Trump’s campaign leader, resigns

According to rumors quoted by the American media, the campaign manager of Donald Trump, Paul Manafort, has resigned. Rumors later confirmed by the same tycoon that called him “a true professional”. Manafort’s role had already been reduced in recent days as part of a new ‘reshuffle’ carried out by Trump about his campaign staff.

Manafort would have explained the decision with the need not to be a distraction in the race of the US presidency tycoon. In recent days the manager was in fact at the center of a cyclone , due to some documents released by the Ukrainian anti-corruption office which show payments for almost 13 million dollars from a pro-Kremlin party destined for Manafort. A lobbying activity that would then tie him to the pro-Russian Ukrainian political leadership, including former president Viktor Yanukovic.

Trump chose Steve Bannon as the new boss, who led the conservative Breitbart site, while Kellyanne Conway will move from being a consultant specializing in surveys to campaign managers.
