Paris, big shot on the highway: 2 Qatari women robbed for 5 million euros

They had just arrived in France and, leaving the airport of Le Bourget, north of Paris, were robbed for a tally of about 5 million euros.

The victims are two women from Qatar: yesterday, around 21.30, they were traveling on a Bentley on the A1 highway, when two hooded young men reached the car forcing the driver to stop. The two, with tear gas, stunned the man and the two women and took clothes, jewelry, luggage.

Frequent shots. That highway zone is frequented by robbers who link luxury cars or foreigners with money: in April last year a Korean art collector had seen 4 million euros taken away in jewels he had with him in the taxi he was traveling on .

In August 2014, armed men attacked a convoy of cars belonging to a Saudi prince headed for Le Bourget and stolen € 250,000.

Controversy over security . The robbery will help revive new controversy over security in the French capital after the >resounding jewels of Kim Kardashian , the American star robbed while staying at the Hotel Particulier, in the center of Paris, during fashion week, last October.
