Sudan, images of violence escape internet censorship

The military junta that took power in Khartoum has decided to use an iron fist with civilian organizations calling for a government without stars. After the repression by beatings and shootings, with the eviction of the sit-in and at least a hundred victims, the military blocked the internet to prevent activists from denouncing the abuses.

But every now and then some trickle of communication opens: we managed to have some images shot in the most violent moments, with the sound of gunshots, the screams and the flight of civilians, the wounded and the fallen. In the first video clip, the gunshots are heard, and the voice of one of the activists shouting: “There was one who was shot! They killed him! Everyone hear! They shoot people! They are killing us! They are killing us!” In another of the videos, there is an almost funny scene if it were not at the same time tragic. A soldier with a stick in his hand says to a passing lady: “Civil or military?”, Referring to the password of the activists, who are asking for a civil government. The intimidated lady replies: “Military!”. And the soldier, evidently gratified, replies: “God is great!”.
