“Plan to revive the economy”
DECORAH – “I will carry out a plan starting in September to relaunch the economy, create jobs and control our deficit”. It is the announcement of Barack Obama, on the first day of his three-day tour of the Midwest. A bus ride by the US president in difficulty due to the difficult management of the economic crisis and under the pressure of his future adversaries who have opened the campaign to choose the candidate for the final challenge with a great media impact.
Barack Obama travels deep into the Midwest. An “on the road” tour after the suffocating negotiations of the building on the debt ceiling, with which he tries to plunge back deep into America, listen to the Americans, their suffering in the face of the economic crisis. The White House has renamed it “Three Day Economic Bus Tour”, a tour that will touch three states whose vote will return to be decisive in view of the challenge for its re-election, in November 2012.
He will speak to the so-called ‘small businesses’, the self-employed workers, will listen to the requests of remote rural communities, small local entrepreneurs, families. And will try to revitalize the enthusiasm of that base a little disappointed by his constant compromises with the Republican right.
