There are at least four protesters killed

CAIRO – Four people were killed by gunfire in clashes between demonstrators and soldiers in Cairo, in front of the building that houses the Council of Ministers. Official sources indicate this. The first clashes took place this morning, when security agents tried to clear a group of protesters in permanent sit-ins, for weeks, against the appointment of Kamal Ganzur as prime minister, accused of ties with the regime of Hosni Mubarak. The scuffles intensified during the day, up to the death of the four people.

One of the victims would be Alaa Abdel Ali, hit by a bullet in the head. The identification is not certain, because the young man was deprived of documents, but had in his pocket a sheet with that name. The news was spread on Twitter and confirmed by sources in Tahrir Square.
