TEHRAN – The first Iranian nuclear power plant, built by Russia in Bushehr, in the south of the country, has been connected to the national electricity grid. This was announced today by the spokesman of the Iranian atomic energy organization (Oiea), quoted in the Al Alam Arabic language television. The plant, which has a capacity of 1,000 megawatts, currently produces 60, but will gradually increase its power to reach 400 mgw on 12 September, the spokesman, Hamid Khadem Qaemi specified
