Quetta, three dead and 18 wounded in the bus
QUETTA – More blood in Pakistan : three people were killed and 18 wounded in a bomb explosion on a bus in Quetta, in the south-western part of the country. Two people died instantly and the third died after being admitted to hospital, according to police. The explosive was hidden in a radio left on the bus. The explosion was triggered while the vehicle was passing through a disputed area of the city, an area that several rival clans claim as their own.
For the moment no one has taken responsibility for the attack. “It is premature to draw conclusions, but we are checking every track, from the Taliban to the Afghan refugees, to the Northern Alliance” explain the leaders of the Pakistani police.
Pakistan is home to more than two and a half million Afghan refugees and was one of the major sponsors of the Taliban government until the time of the September 11 terrorist attacks in America. Since then the Pakistani government has decided to support the US and the attack on terrorist billionaire Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban government that supports it. Also in Quetta, in the past few days, there have been numerous anti-American demonstrations and in support of the Taliban.
